My friend Cami & her pal Nadia have this label called DI$COUNT. If you haven't heard all about these crazy bitches, then you need to get out more. Or read more. I'm here to educate you either way because this is one of those ones where possibly the most significant thing I may ever do is be the first person to tell you about these guys. Before they are so fucken rich and famous Cami will renounce ever knowing me. 

These guys graduated from RMIT fashion 5minutes ago (a.k.a LAST YEAR) and now... They have the Spring Racing festival window covered at Miss Louise with their one off, hand made jackets. Yes, I did say Miss Louise, yes that is on Collins street and YES, that is exactly next door to Chanel.... 

This isn't the most significant thing they've done, just the most recent. What else have they done? Well they have the best BLOG on planet earth that's what, they've dressed M.I.A (yup! cop that!), and have their bespoke label of fucken mentalness launched and happening from a studio in the city. 

Now I could go on and on and onandonandon right and I could light up this blog with a million crazy pictures which I would lift from their blog BUT I'm going to give you homework instead. Go and read it from top to tail (I have done this because it is worth doing).

Checking out the preview screening of this show tonight. It's at my fave gallery Tinning Street and is the 3rd installment of a year long project local smart fella Nick Casey has been working on. Written by Nick, the show is being performed by Rachel Dyson-McGregor. Some pretty special people have been working behind the scenes (namely OK OK fave, Belinda Wiltshire) so this is bound to be pretty great. 

8pm start each night, the show runs from Saturday 6th-Saturday 13th (Monday off yo). See you there?

The VERY talented artist herself: Belinda Wiltshire: Cute to boot!

I go on about the ridiculous talent spilling from every crevice and pore of Brunswick. It's because dear friends, there is some ridiculous talent spilling from EVERY crevice and pore in Brunswick. Not the least of which is the super-talented Belinda Wiltshire who not only runs the brimming with beauty arts hub, The Pea Green Boat studios in Tinnning street, not only styles TV commercials and video clips, designs costumes and sets for various shows year-round, builds racks with her bare hands (see yellow rack on a dry day in Sparta Place) and too many other things to name... BUT is also a talented as hell artist in her own right. 

I have lately been too slack to post timely information about important stuff on this blog (sorry 5 followers!), but it's not too late till the show closes SO get your butt to Belinda's beautiful exhibition ASAP. It's an extraordinarily stunning body of work titled The Other Woman and it's on until the 30th at Kick Gallery in Collingwood. Do it.

New to OK OK, Jamie Fame menswear collection SS10/11. Ummm...Totally awesome! A brisbane label that is made in Australia like we love. Lots of yummy organic cotton and fancy things like silk conditioning (this is a touch thing- as in you MUST touch these- incredible!). So grouse!. And of course, the colours are totally inline with the OK OK thing we gots going on here. 

Also some new OK OK basics. I am FINALLY paying attention to the Menswear section. It is paying off. Come and get robed fellas.

Oh and stay tuned, very soon (I hope) I will be turning the upstairs into entirely Menswear. That's how bloody dedicated I am to the cause. A whole floor for my homies. Word.

OK OK shall be representing its new socks ranges here on Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th of my birthday month (that's October- catch up!). You should check this event out. It will be radical. 

I'll be sunning myself on a tropical beach on the Saturday, because that's how I roll & my peeps will be manning the fort (and doing all the hard work like setting it up!) but I will breeze in there for the Sunday and make merry with the Punters. 

Can't wait...

Very busy, very bloody important

Just read over some posts I've written recently because this is the best blog there is and like you I can't get enough of it. Above is me [proven by the yellow t.shirt & elastic waisted jeans] and how I feel about reading the appalling grammar I've been subjecting you to. Soz. 

See I'm very busy so I type this stream of consciousness nonsense and I think I'm making sense but it would seem that it's all just gibberish. Again. Soz. 

So while this apology for my unacceptable spelling and grammar has taken me a couple of minutes to thrash out, going back and editing each individual post would take like a million painful and boring years and like I said, I am very bloody busy so get over it.

I promise to try harder in the future OR, you could get a life and stop being so clever. Peace out. xx

I am beginning to consider myself quite the Brunswick Art Patron. Recently I had the talented Max Dns wheatpaste some OK OK hands on the facade of my humble Sparta Place shoppe.

I was so chuffed with Max's work I decided to get some more artwork at OK OK. I asked Somedumbcunt a local artist and self-proclaimed nuisance, to unleash their artistic whimsy on my Shop this weekend and they came up with the fabulous new window display pictured above.

When I interviewed Somedumbcunt and asked what their inspiration was for the piece, which shattered tiny little shards of glass throughout the entire shop and took me several hours to clean up this morning (I mean everywhere! Like all the way to the furthest corners of the changeroom at the back of the shop), they answered:

"I basically delved deep inside myself to the core of my self-hatred, awoke my inner asshole and decided to act out a most selfish and pointless excercise. I was drawing on age old stupidity of acts of violence decided upon in a split second of total disregard for anything but my own putrid self importance." (Read: I was bored so I threw a fucken brick through your window then split).

Interesting. The window display @ OK OK is open to the public for 1 day only as the glass is being replaced tomorrow. 

Thank you Somedumbcunt, I was starting to like people again but you have reassured me that that is terribly unwise and I should stick to thinking most people are stupid assholes. xOK OK
